Trip Fundraising

Friends and Family,

I pray that your New Year has been filled with a multitude of blessings and that it will continue to be. Last summer I got to see God work in the lives of others and my own life on a mission trip to Miami, Florida. And the Lord has continued to be gracious to me in allowing me the opportunity to go and serve Him and His people this coming summer in Quito, Ecuador. The Lord has given me a desire to see the furthering of His kingdom, and because of this I find great joy in sharing the gospel; He really is generous to allow me this beautiful opportunity!

The Lord has opened many doors allowing me to play a small part in making disciples of all nations, just as we are called to do. The Lord has allowed me the understanding that He desires to have a relationship with His most precious creation, and just as He saved me, He also desires to seek and save those who are still lost. This mission trip with NEXT Worldwide and my Village Church family is an opportunity to come alongside a local church in Ecuador and help them establish and grow there church there in the surrounding communities. The goal by going on this trip is to proclaim the name of the Lord to those who have been led astray from the Lord, and to believers in those communities who have simply not found a church they desire to be apart of, and get them connected to this local church, so that they might find accountability there where they live. In Ecuador the goal is reached by not only caring for the peoples spiritual needs but also not neglecting their physical needs. A medical camp of sorts is set up and they hand out glasses and toiletries as well as other needed supplies.

But we can not do this without your help! In James the Lord says the prayers of the righteous are at work, meaning that the Lord hears the prayers of the saints and answers them. So what we need is prayer, we need relentless prayer that the peoples there in those communities would be at a place of vulnerability and would be willing to let the Holy Spirit invade their hearts and flood their lives with the promises of His grace and mercy. And also please pray that the people groups there in Ecuador would be receptive to the good news of the Gospel.

And second, I need financial support. I need to raise $2025 total by May 6th, 2019. But a little over half of the cost of the trip is due by February 25th, 2019. The actual trip dates are June 6-12, 2019. If you can help me fund this trip, please do! Through generous friends like yourselves I know the Lord will provide a way to raise such a high cost, He always does!

NEXT’s focus in Ecuador centers in and around the city of Quito. We are in our 6th year of partnership with a missionary named Ron Sutton. Part of our strategic vision for this area focuses on the city of Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas near Quito.

The city of Quito has opened a new airport on the plateau located just outside of the city. Ron’s objective is to establish churches in this area now so that in the next several years, as this area grows, there will already be churches ready and waiting to meet the spiritual needs of the people moving there.

In addition to working on the plateau, NEXT is also working in the northeast and southeast areas of Quito to plant and strengthen churches where there is little to no gospel witness.
